Our High Priest is officially recognized as a ministerial official with all the rights and responsibilities that come with that title.
While Buddha Cat Cult has been in existence since 2015, with the introduction of our first division, Buddha Cat Films, High Priest Jeff Peterman only sought Earthly credentials and recognition of his title and role in 2023.

Under his administration, Buddha Cat Cult has become an officially registered business with the United States Government and is currently seeking tax exempt status under IRC Section 501(c)(3) tax exemption rules, as is the right of every religious organization in the United States.
Our High Priest is regretfully unavailable to meet with congregants and press at this time.
